In this report we give you an early peek of four of our A/W 2013/14 print trends seen at the recent Premier Vision and Indigo trade shows. Patternbank’s trends team were on hand to research the key print and pattern trends seen at the show. We are currently working on a new and more extensive print trend report which will break down the 12 key stories with colour forecast direction, print inspiration and indispensable reference material.
Yeah, we know. Sweaters in the fall and winter? Been there, done that. But this year’s fall fashion knitwear offerings are not messing around. On the runway, designers such as Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney presented cool cowl-neck tops paired with a matching skirt, cardigans that go down to your ankles, turtleneck dresses and other inventive plays on Cosby’s signature piece. It’s okay to look cozy at the big fall events this year.

My favorite thing about fall fashion, has to be cozy knits!! Whether it is a chunky sweater, a layered scarf or a great beanie, I love wearing them all season :)
Luxe knits were the main attraction during New York Fashion Week fall 2014 shows. From elegant mohair tops and delicate hand-spun details to ribbed leggings and decadent scarves, piling on the knit silhouettes for colder temperatures is a must this season.
